QueryCatch for WordPress

Install the QueryCatch plugin to see your Search Console and Analytics numbers inside WordPress, with search clicks beside every post.

QueryCatch for WordPress The QueryCatch plugin brings your QueryCatch numbers into your WordPress admin, so you can see how your site is doing in Google without leaving WordPress. You get a QueryCatch page with your Search Console and Analytics numbers, a dashboard widget, and a Search clicks column beside every post and page. /assets/documentation/wordpress-plugin/querycatch-page.webp You need a QueryCatch account on an active plan, with Google Search Console connected, and you must be an admin of the organisation you connect. Google Analytics is optional. Your WordPress site must use HTTPS. Install the plugin Download the plugin from https://www.querycatch.com/wordpress-plugins/querycatch.zip.. In WordPress, go to Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin, choose the zip, and click Install Now.. Click Activate. A QueryCatch item appears in the admin menu. Connect it to QueryCatch In WordPress, open QueryCatch in the admin menu and click Connect to QueryCatch.. Sign in to QueryCatch if you aren't already.. On the Connect a website screen, check the website address shown is yours, then choose which organisation this website is.. Click Allow. You're taken back to WordPress, already connected. /assets/documentation/wordpress-plugin/connect-a-website.webp A website can only be connected to an organisation where "Allow AI assistant access" is switched on under Profile settings → AI assistants. That one switch covers every outside connection to the organisation, AI assistants and websites alike, so switching it off cuts them all off at once. What you see in WordPress The QueryCatch page: Google Search clicks, impressions, click-through rate and average position, compared with the previous period; clicks per day; your top searches and top pages; and your Google Analytics visitors, visits, page views and where visitors came from. Choose the last 7, 30 or 90 days.. The dashboard widget: the last 30 days at a glance, with your top five searches. Hide it under Screen Options if you don't want it.. The Search clicks column in your Posts and Pages lists: each published post's clicks from Google over the last 30 days. It covers your 250 most clicked pages; a post outside those shows a dash. /assets/documentation/wordpress-plugin/dashboard-widget.webp /assets/documentation/wordpress-plugin/search-clicks-column.webp Numbers are saved in WordPress for an hour, so pages stay quick. Click Refresh on the QueryCatch page to get the latest straight away. Google reports a day or two behind. What the plugin can and can't do It reads one organisation: the one you chose when you connected. It can't see any other organisation you belong to.. It can only read. It can't change anything on your website or in QueryCatch.. Only WordPress administrators see the QueryCatch page, the widget and the Search clicks column.. It keeps working only while the person who connected it is still an admin of the organisation and outside access is on.. Every WordPress administrator sees which organisation the site is connected to and the email address of the QueryCatch account that connected it.. The connection is stored encrypted in WordPress, using your site's secret keys from wp-config.php. If your wp-config.php has no keys of its own, add them, or a copy of your database alone could use the connection. Every administrator of your WordPress site can see the numbers of the organisation you connect. Only connect an organisation they should see. Disconnect On the QueryCatch page in WordPress, click Disconnect, then Disconnect again to confirm. You can also end the connection from QueryCatch: go to Profile settings → AI assistants, find the website under Your connections, and click Revoke. Deleting the plugin from WordPress ends the connection too. Troubleshooting "This site must use HTTPS to connect": QueryCatch only sends sign-ins back to secure addresses. Switch your site to HTTPS, then connect.. "QueryCatch could not be reached": your host may block outgoing connections. Ask them to allow connections to www.querycatch.com.. "Google Search Console isn't connected": connect it for the organisation in QueryCatch under Integrations.. "Outside access is switched off": an admin can switch on Allow AI assistant access under Profile settings → AI assistants.. "Connect again": the connection was revoked in QueryCatch, the organisation is no longer available, or the site's secret keys changed. Click Disconnect, then connect again.
