Connect Google Analytics to combine traffic data with search insights
Google Analytics Integration Google Analytics integration enhances your search data with comprehensive traffic analytics, user behavior insights, and conversion tracking. Prerequisites Google Analytics 4 (GA4) property. Editor or Administrator access to the GA4 property. Google account linked to Analytics QueryCatch supports Google Analytics 4 (GA4). Universal Analytics (UA) is no longer supported as it was sunset by Google in July 2023. Connection Steps Navigate to Integrations page. Click "Connect Google Analytics". Sign in to Google if prompted. Grant permission to access Analytics data. Wait for property list to load. Select your GA4 property from dropdown. Click "Save Selection" Performance Optimization QueryCatch uses lazy loading for Google Analytics properties to improve performance: Properties are fetched only when needed. Initial connection is faster. Large accounts with many properties load smoothly. Cached for improved subsequent access Available Data and Metrics Traffic Sources Organic Search traffic. Direct traffic. Referral sources. Social media traffic. Paid search data User Metrics Sessions and users. New vs returning visitors. Bounce rate. Session duration. Pages per session Behavior Data Top landing pages. User flow. Site speed metrics. Event tracking. Conversion data Permission Management Only users with admin role can connect or modify Google Analytics integration. Viewers can see data but cannot change settings. QueryCatch tracks who connected each integration for accountability: Connection email is displayed in settings. Only the connector or another admin can disconnect. Audit trail maintained for compliance. Profile-based isolation ensures data security Troubleshooting Properties Not Loading Verify GA4 property exists and is active. Check your access level (need Editor+). Try disconnecting and reconnecting. Clear browser cache and cookies No Data Showing Ensure GA4 tracking is properly installed. Wait 24-48 hours for initial data. Check date range settings. Verify property selection is correct Best Practices Connect both Search Console and Analytics for complete insights. Use consistent date ranges across both tools. Set up conversion tracking in GA4 first. Review data discrepancies section in our FAQ. Enable enhanced ecommerce if applicable Pro Tip: QueryCatch automatically correlates Search Console queries with Analytics landing pages for deeper insights.Documentation
