Orphan Pages
Find published Shopify pages with no internal links pointing at them, so you can recover their search visibility.
Orphan Pages An orphan page is a published page that no other page on your store links to. With no internal links pointing at it, search engines struggle to discover and rank it, and shoppers can only reach it by knowing the exact URL. Orphan Pages crawls your storefront, maps the internal links between your pages, and lists the ones nothing links to — so you can add a link from a relevant collection or page and recover their visibility. How it works Click 'Run crawl'. The tool discovers your published URLs from your sitemap, then visits each page and records the internal links it points to.. When the crawl finishes, it works out which published URLs received no internal link — those are your orphans.. Review the results: a score (the share of pages that ARE internally linked), a funnel you can click to filter to Orphaned or Linked, and a searchable table of every page with its type and status.. Open any orphan and add a link to it from a relevant collection description, page or blog post — then re-run the crawl to confirm it's no longer orphaned. Orphan status is only known once the whole crawl finishes (a page is an orphan only if NOTHING links to it), so results appear when the run completes rather than streaming in. Your last completed crawl shows instantly the next time you open the tool. Accuracy: treat results as "likely orphaned" The crawl reads each page's HTML. Some themes add navigation links with JavaScript (mega-menus), and products can be linked only on a later page of a large collection. Those links aren't visible to an HTML crawl, so a page that is genuinely linked that way can show up as orphaned. Treat the list as "likely orphaned, worth checking" — open a flagged page and confirm before acting. Links inside JavaScript-rendered menus may not be seen.. A product reachable only on page 2+ of a collection may look orphaned.. Pages your storefront couldn't serve during the crawl (password-protected, temporarily down) are skipped.. Large catalogues are capped to keep crawls fast — the tool tells you when a cap was hit. Requirements A connected Shopify store with a public (not password-protected) storefront. Essential plan or above — bundled with H1 Health as a storefront-crawl tool. Available inside the Shopify admin as an embedded appDocumentation
